Hurley Nursery School is a private, nonprofit, nonsectarian nursery school serving the historic Ulster County town of Hurley, NY since 1968. Located at 11 Main Street in the church building, the school fosters emotional, social, cognitive, and physical development in each child through a philosophy of “freedom within limits,” which is structured enough to feel safe but open enough to encourage curiosity and choice.
Classes are administered by a volunteer Governing Board and staffed by experienced teachers who believe children learn to play and play to learn. The curriculum prepares children for Kindergarten and beyond while building friendships, self-esteem, and a genuine love of school.
