If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion—how can God’s love be in that person?
1 John 3:17 (NLT)
At Hurley Reformed Church it is our mission to serve Christ by reaching out to our local community.
One way we accomplish this is through our budgeted Deacon Fund and Monthly Mission collections. Each month our congregation has the opportunity to make a special mission contribution which goes directly to a specific local charity or organization. Monthly missions are announced in the bulletin weekly. Through these contributions we have supported Reservoir Food Pantry, Food Bank of the Hudson Valley, Mid-Hudson Hospice, People’s Place, Family of Woodstock, Ulster County Dept of Social Services, Rural and Migrant Ministries and many others.
Together we can make a difference!
Our Commitment
We at the Hurley Reformed Church are committed to serving the community and the world. Our buildings are in continuous use many events representing such groups as:
- Hurley Nursery School
- Ulster County Genealogical Society
- Hurley Senior Citizens
- Triumph Karate
- Sew and So
The Hurley Church serves the world by sponsoring the efforts of missionaries in Niger, Ethiopia and Oman. We also provide assistance to victims of natural disasters such as earthquakes, hurricanes, floods and drought.

Columbarium Project
Stickley Gardens

The Columbarium Dedication Day was held on May 31st, 2009 with over 150 in attendance. This project started over three years ago and because of the devoted efforts of the committee, this day was a complete success. God blessed us with a beautiful sunny day and made his presence known with some strong gusts of wind during the ceremony. Dr. Bob Gram and Rev Stickley lead the service with litany, readings and joyous song. The area was officially named “Stickley Gardens” in honor of Rev and Esther’s thirty-plus years of devotion to our church. The families of Doc & Flo Harder and Stephan Nekos both were in attendance and we all celebrated the memories of these wonderful people. The donation of memorial funds by these families made this project possible and we thank them dearly. Also honored was Matt Sirni for his donation of labor and ongoing advice and expertise in construction, lighting and fountain installation.
The Columbarium is dedicated to serving many families who find this their final resting place. May all who come here, discover the dignity of God’s love, and a place of peace and rest, in the tranquility of their surroundings.
For more information on the Columbarium, please send an email to: Admin@HurleyReformedChurch.org or contact any of the committee:

The story of the Hurley Reformed Church lives in the people who have served it across centuries. Each generation inherits a tradition shaped by those who came before—and carries it forward in its own time.
