Welcome to the Hurley Reformed Church's web page. We invite you to come and join us in worship and fellowship in Christ's name.

Our mission is to serve Christ by serving our community and the world, inviting all people to share God's love.

Through our worship, education, fellowship and service we are to nurture God's people in their faith, develop their gifts of the Spirit and equip them to go forth and share the gospel of God's love in Christ Jesus.

To assure that this fellowship remains a vital force in our daily lives and in our community we faithfully commit the time, talent and treasures that God has entrusted to us.

Haiti Earthquake Relief

Our January Missions collections will be designated for the Haiti Earthquake Disaster Relief.  If you would like to contribute checks should be made out to "Hurley Reformed Church" and earmarked "Haiti Earthquake."

Happy New Year!

 What You Do . . .

What you do, may you [always] do and never abandon.

But with swift pace, light step,

unswerving feet,

so that even your steps stir up no dust,

may you go forward

securely, joyfully, and swiftly,

on the path of prudent happiness,

not believing anything,

not agreeing with anything

that would dissuade you from this resolution

or that would place a stumbling block for you on the way,

so that you may offer your vows to the Most High

in the pursuit of that perfection

to which the Spirit of the Lord has called you.

Video from Christmas Eve Services

At both of the Candlelight services on Christmas Eve, we presented a video entitled "Mother and Child" featuring mothers of our congregation with their newborn infants.  Over 30 families responded to our request for photos.  Some photos were recent; some were historic.

 RECIPE FOR A COOKIE WALK

  1. Bake several batches of ONE of your favorite holiday cookies (or candy).
  2. Deliver your donations to Schadewald Hall before the church service on December 13.
  3. Participate in the worship service at 10:00am on December 13.
  4. Return to Schadewald Hall to pick up a cookie box and proceed along the tables laden with a multitude of freshly baked holiday cookies.
  5. Stop at the weigh and pay station to have your box weighed.  Our price continues to be $5.00 per pound.
  6. Take cookies home and ENJOY!

You do not need to contribute baked goods to be a buyer.  All are welcome to participate.  Men, women and children are encouraged to back AND to buy.  It’s a fun activity and a great fund raiser for the Women’s Guild.  Thank you for your generous support.
