Missions

If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion—how can God’s love be in that person? 1John 3:17 (NLT)

Global Missions

Hurley Reformed Church has made an annual commitment to support the following three RCA Missionaries through Partnership-in-Mission (PIM) half-shares. Through PIM shares we provide ongoing support for the RCA's worldwide mission program. Our missionaries depend on Partnership-in-Mission shares to underwrite their support. These commitments are essential to the stability of our Christian witness around the world. Learn more about their work by clicking on the links below.

Jeremy and Susan Beebout in Niger

Peter and Patty Ford in Ethiopia

Jack and Linda Buteyn in Oman

Additional support is provided to other RCA missions and projects through our annual benevolence giving, One Great Hour of Sharing, Alternative Holiday Market, and others.

Through PIM shares and other global mission contributions, Hurley Reformed Church provided over $16,000 in support for 2007!

Local Missions

At Hurley Reformed Church it is our mission to serve Christ by reaching out to our local community.

One way we accomplish this is through our budgeted Deacon Fund and Monthly Mission collections.  Each month our congregation has the opportunity to make a special mission contribution which goes directly to a specific local charity or organization. Monthly missions are announced in the bulletin weekly. Through these contributions we have supported Food Bank of the Hudson Valley, Mid-Hudson Hospice, People’s Place, Family of Woodstock, Ulster County Dept of Social Services, Rural and Migrant Ministries and many others.

Hurley Reformed Church contributed approximately $7,000 to local charities and organizations in our community in 2007.

Together we can make a difference!
